Patterns

 In maths we are doing Algebra. Algebra is about patterns and relationships. Here are 3 patterns I made that  follow a rule.

In the first 2weeks of lock down my Mum helped me do Time, Length and weight measurements, I had lots of fun doing time trials with my cousins, brothers and sister. Here is the work I have done. I hope you like it.

Time Trials

• Do a handstand                                 2sec     
• Dry weetbix                                       1 min 38 sec
• Run around the yard                         1 min 30sec
• Drink a glass of water                       15sec
• Sing Happy Birthday                         5sec       
• 10 Press ups                                    52sec 

 How many days old are you?

There are 365 days in a year and a extra day in a leap year 365 x 8 =        2920 There have been 2 leap years since I was born and 1 this year  + 3 = 2923

• Tomato Sauce - 2 litres
• Dish Wash - 900mlWine - 750ml
• The vegetable oil bottle is bigger than the Tomato sauce bottle but they have the same amount of liquid in them.

Weight Conversion

Cupboard Contents 

• Fly spray - 320g
• Rice - 1kg
• Tomato sauce - 575g
• Baked beans- 420g
• Pineapple - 425g

The baked bean can is bigger than the pineapple pieces can but the pineapple pieces weigh 5grams more than the baked beans. 

How Heavy is your car? My Dad said it weighs 2000kg with a full tank of gas we have a 2003 Holden Commodore V6

How far is it around your place?

My Uncle’s house and yard is huge, there are areas we can not get around but he told me it was about an Acre section. That is why we came here because there is lots of room for all of us.
