EOTC week

Hi today I will be teling you what we did at EOTC. On thursday EOTC started.we only had 5 days they were Thursday,Friday,Monday,Tuseday and Wendesday 

We did Adrenalin on Thursday and we got split into two grops and and  room 10 and 9 were together and 11 and 8 were mixed Only the  year 6 and 5 were going.    

On Friday the year 4s join us and we did swiming on friday and Mega air and go spit into two grops again we were with room 8. we did thease games they were called top team. here are some photos.

On Monday we  we did Phat sk8 it was so fun and there was 3 things we got to do if we were not rolla skating there were rob the neast and and a  park then a game of  rounders. here are some photos 

On Tuseday we did the  Amazing race and it was all the way in rollaston this time we were all in one grop but we were in diffrent teams we had to get to margaret mahy with all the cules. my team came 3d.

On  Wendesday  it was our last day and we did surfing and it was so cool we got spit into our t-shirt colors we had incroters and I was pink and white and my  incroters name was Dom. here are some photos 

Athletics

 Kia ora today, I'm going to be talking about athletics. First we did  athletics practices and it was really cool. I didn't like sprints.  High jump was hard but not hader then sprints. but first we lined up in our year group. The last thing we did with the juniors we went to year 0 to year 6. Poems

Hi blog members. We have been doing poems about flowers and doing syllables that are in it.One of the poems we had to do was 5-7-5.  We have been doing it for 3 days. So we have done it 3 types of poems. It is so fun. I do it at home so I can be done.  I am going to show you my Haiku poems

Wen also did a cinquain poem.  We have been doing tulip and and roses. It had to be two syllables then the secone line had to be 4 syllables. 3th line was 6 syllables next line was 8 syllables last one was 5 syllables .So we have done it 3 times it is so fun I do it at home so I can be done I am going to show my other one. 

   

Cloze

 Hi today I am going to be talking about my cloze. If you don't know what a cloze is it is a story but some words that have been taken out of the story. The words are on the side and you had to figure out the missing word. The story this week was called "Stung". The story was about a lady called Janet,she stood on a wasps neast. She thought the wasps where attrected to her shirt so she threw it away, the wasps  stoped their attack when she dived into the water. Here is my work.

Translation/Rotation/Reflection and Symmetry

 On Monday for maths we did translation/rotation/reflection and symmetry. The next day we had a test to find translation/rotation/reflection and symmetry and if you don't know what symmetry. Is so if you fold somthing and it's exactlythe same of the other side it is a line of symmetry. me and my buddy made a slide show here it is.

My Diamond Art

Welcome back to my blog  past the few days I have been working on my new dimond art it is a purple dragon  I still have some to do so I don't get bord in loockdown. I'm going to finish one day so I can hang it  on my special wall with my 4  Billie Eilish drawings and my diamond art. My brothers are less bothering but  still the same. But I have missed school. Buddy Class

Kia Orana welcome back to my blog. Today we had a new buddies in buddy class. I had two buddies because it was Tianas last day. The teacher read a book called The Hissing Bush. We had two pieces of paper we had to draw on one and the other we had to write what was under the bush. Our writing had to go with what was in the box/picture.

paper mache

 in room 10 we have been doing papper mache we have showed it in assmbley we did some some facts about it. We had a buddy me and my did some layers of newspapper. Then started on our withe layer we panted it. It looked like a catterpiller but with wings. Here are mine and my buddys work 

Paper Mache

In room 10 we have been doing paper mache.  We are making birds of New Zealand. Our birds are made out of wire and then paper mached over.  Me and lily did a kakariki. After we have done it we give it to the classes. Here is a photo of mine and Lily's so far.

The Warriors

Today I will be telling you about the warriors who came to our school yesterday. There were 3 pepole but only 2 were warriors.They came all  the way from Auckland. they ask some pepole to wave the flag my friend Lily won a warriors drink bottle.One said he was a bus driver.Here is some photos.

Tree bark rubbing

 Hi everyone. In topic we have been talking about different bark shapes and size. We had a piece of paper folded into 8 squares. You could pick a buddy or go by yourself. Your buddy had to have a crayon but it had to be brown but in different colours of brown. Before we did this bark rubbing we did leaves and about the forest. Here is a photo of my bark rubbing. Life Education

Hi in life education we learnt that veins are like messages but in our body. We learnt about the body parts. We had a dance party. Kushla, Lewis and Sahish got to play with the lights, it was fun. Harold was singing a song. We had two games of 'flinch' and 'stand up if you had an idea'. If you didn't have in answer you sit down. Here is a photo of Harold.

 

Butterfly

In  Room 10 we have been making butterflies out of paper. We were doing this while we learnt how to write instructions.  We had to do some instructions so our teacher could follow it to make sure it was the right steps. Here are my steps.

How to make a paper butterfly

You will need 

Square piece  Paper 

Patients 

Steps 

1. Fold it diagonally

2. Open 

3. Fold it again but the opposite way 

4. Open 

5. Flip it over 

6. Fold it like a rectangle

7. Pust the bottom up

8. Fold it in a triangle 

9. Put the triangle upside down

10. Get one side flaps down and it will slightly be out of the paper 

11. Then do the same but on the other side 

12. Flip it over 

13.  take the middle triangle and fold it up and over the piece of paper

Coss Country

On  Thursday the 15th we had coss country  we had to run 2 kilometres around some of Kyle Park we had to run  around the bmx track. i was 8th bit was hard i didn't expect to be 8th it was weird. The year 6 boys  went first then the year 6 girls went. Then the year 5 boys went then year 5 girls went. The year 4 went last. here is a photo

Rocketeer

In room 10 we have been doing news paper reports I did one about Rocketeer here is some of it 

The speedy Rocketeer 

 A little boy named Jimmy was playing with his aeroplane. while the chief police was chasing two robbers, one was sitting in the back.

The police were racing as fast as they could. The robbers went fast and crashed into a brick wall. The driver couldn't see because of the sun and almost ran little Jimmy over.

duffy show

After morning tea we rushed to class. we first went inthe gyn. First he sang beautifully. They told us what  their names were. Jess, Arede and dylan. The play they did was double Trouble. First scruffy made the chickens come out and said it was duffy. Then duffy got bored and had to go on zoom. his one of his class mates were playing funny games on the techer.Then duffy fell into a whole he got  pulled out by some children and his aunty. 100 word count

Hello everybody. In room 10 we have been doing. 100 word count for reading. It was hard becaues it had to be 100 words . we have a prompt ever week that we have to inclued in our 100 word count .here is one of my storys .

‘… but where did it go?’ she shouted…

One day I went to pak n save with my mum and my little sister.  We had to get some buns for our lunches, they were all the way at the end of the row. We didn't have to walk that long but it was hard to walk back  because we used all our energy and got tired. Then we left our trolley somewhere in the shop. Mum looked really worried,  ‘ but where did it go?’ she shouted. We had to go all around the shop looking for it, we found it in the freezer department, luckily it wasn’t frozen. 

Elgregoe

 On Friday, the 9th of February, we watched Elgregoe's show at 9.28. The whole school was there to watch it was so cool. We all had to go to the the gym, there were lots of  parrots. Then he made his wife go in the box her finger was stuck. Here is a photo.
